BRANDING IN VIRTUAL TOURS MICROSOFT WINDOWS 7
Recent amendment to the WRIST Rules and Regulations prohibit the display of Branded Virtual Tours in the MLS.

When entering listings into the MLS, there are two fields that deal with virtual tours.  They are:

Virtual Tour: Designed to be a hyperlink to a non-branded virtual tour.

Branded Virtual Tour:  Designed to be a hyperlink to a branded virtual tour.

Please make sure you enter a non-branded version of your virtual tour in the regular "Virtual Tour" field.  These tours should not contain contact information or names of the listing office or listing agent.

Microsoft has released the next generation of Windows operating system, called Windows 7.  Marketlinx has extensively tested MLXchange with Windows 7 and has found there are no issues with running MLXchange with this new version of Windows. If you are using Windows 7 and have difficulties accessing MLXchange, please contact the WRIST office for support.

SETTING UP YOUR SECRET QUESTION

If you have not already done so, it is recommended that you set up a secret question in MLXchange.  This will assist you if you should  forget your MLXchange password and need to reset it.

To set up your secret question, hover over the Settings button at the top left side of MLXchange and go to Personalize and click on Change Secret Question.

You will be prompted to choose three questions and provide answers to each. Be sure to click Save when completed.

UPDATING EXPIRED LISTINGS

WRIST recently amended the business rule to allow the listing agent or office to extend expired listings for thirty days. This will allow the agent or office to change the status back to active, sold, pending or contingent for up to thirty days after a listing expires. This will be most helpful when the seller signs an extension or a closing takes place after the listing has expired.

Because of liability concerns, the WRIST staff will no longer be able to extend expired listings. WRIST will continue to assist agents and offices on those listings that close after 30 days of expiration.
