There have been a couple
cases of copper plumbing theft in the WRIST area.
Vacant properties have been burglarized and stripped of
their copper plumbing while creating a huge mess of the drywall,
paneling and tub enclosures.
The individuals broke in through the backdoor and did not
touch the lockbox. Even
vacant properties that do not have copper plumbing could be
targeted for their copper tubing from air conditioners and
copper wiring. We are
asking you keep a close eye on vacant homes in your neighborhood
and contact the local police or sheriff department with any
strange sightings.

Last year I replaced all the windows in my house with those
expensive double pane energy-efficient kind. Then, this week I got a
call from the contractor who installed them. He was complaining that
the work had been completed a whole year ago and I still hadn't paid
for them.
I told him just what his fast talking Sales guy had told me last
year.... "IN ONE YEAR these windows would pay for themselves!"
Helllooooo? It's been a year!
There was only silence at the other end of the line, so I finally
hung up. He didn't call back. Bet he felt dumb! |
