WRIST amended the business rule over a year ago to allow the listing agent or office to extend expired listings for thirty days. This will allow the agent or office to change the status back to active, sold, pending or contingent for up to thirty days after a listing expires. This will be most helpful when the seller signs an extension or a closing takes place after the listing has expired.

Because of liability concerns, the WRIST staff will no longer be able to extend expired listings. WRIST will continue to assist agents and offices on those listings that close after 30 days of expiration.
