The saying "out with the old, in with the new" is usually heard this
time of year. I believe that will be the motto for WRIST this year.
We have several new products contracted to make available to our
members, so 2012 promises to be the biggest year of change for WRIST
since switching from NetMLS to MLXchange.
The timeline is based on our most reasonable projections based on
today's information. Please note that these timelines are not
permanent.
We ended 2011 with a soft rollout of a new product called FIND.
Please read the article in this month's newsletter about FIND and
watch the short introductory video. We plan on reviewing this during
training that will be offered in February at several locations
around the WRIST area.
In January, we will be making a mobile application available for
MLXchange. We have included as many searchable fields as possible
and there will be some listing maintenance fields as well. This will
be real time data easily available to all members.
In February, we will be replacing GeoJet with Realist property data.
This will be a wealth of information for our membership and will
cover 11 counties. This software will be seamlessly embedded within
the MLS and volumes of data will be just a click away. We will
schedule morning and afternoon training sessions at several
locations in the WRIST area, followed up with some continuing
education hands-on opportunities.
Sometime in late spring we will be replacing MLXchange with a new
updated MLS product called Fusion. We will again schedule training
at multiple locations, followed by continuing education
opportunities. Please note that MLXchange will still be available
for several months so our members can switch over at their
convenience.
Finally, once the new MLS system is up and running, we will be
adding another product called Stats Pro. This product will also be
seamlessly embedded into the system and will allow our members to
query the database on almost any date field we collect.
The WRIST directors are able to make these improvements available to
our membership throughout 2012 without the need for a price
increase. I believe that when you consider the products and services
we provide, verses the cost and our size, that we truly have the
best value proposition of any MLS in the state of Ohio.
