LOCKBOX SURVEY: IT'S ONLY A SURVEY

Last month we conducted a survey about electronic lock-boxes and the response was overwhelming. We want the WRIST MLS service to be a true benefit to you and a survey is one way we obtain interest and sometimes, direction.

Our surveys are designed to be brief with just a few questions per survey. We also include a comment section to further your ability to communicate with us. The subject matter of electronic lock boxes does not indicate that we are interested in trying to deploy electronic lock box technology. It indicates that we are trying to find out if you are interested in the technology. We feel very strongly that we should evaluate interest and benefit to our organization before we spend valuable time, energy, and resources.

The membership spoke loud and clear that they are not in favor of electronic lock boxes. We had almost 28% of the total membership respond (our highest ever participation rate) with nearly 60% of the respondents having prior electronic lock box experience. 89% of total membership was not in favor of buying electronic lock boxes (81% SBOR members and 93% MOAR members). 84% of total membership was not in favor of leasing electronic lock boxes (79% SBOR members and 83% of MOAR members).

We will continue to conduct 3 to 4 surveys a year and I encourage everyone to set aside two or three minutes and participate in all surveys. This is a great and simple way for you to impact your MLS.
